AIA A&B Series document changes, including Exhibit A Insurance and Bonds, Sustainable Project Exhibit

Course Description:

Topics discussed include an interactive 2 hour review of the 2017 AIA A&B Series document changes, Exhibit A Insurance and Bonds, Sustainable Project Exhibit.

George S. Coakley, Attorney will present, along with Paula Selvaggio, from Oswald Companies.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will gain an understanidn of th ehistory of AIA documents and the dynamic, inclusive, continous process of creating, keeping AIA documents on the cutting edge of the design & construction fields.
  • Participants will become familiar with the new Exhibits and the document changes to previous editions.  This includes overall format changes, how and whey they there changed, how these changes impact the practice of architecture, and how they keep pace with ever evolving project delivery methods.
  • Participants and instructors will discuss the newly revised AIA Owner-Architect and Owner-Contractor documents to confidently select the appropriate documents to use based upon project type, delivery method, size and complexity.
  • Participants will learn how the new Sustainable Projects Exhibit functions and how it can be used to positively impact the health, safety and welfare of building occupants and the environment.
