-Group Campfire Chat (weather pending)

-Daily Worshops, Trail Rides & other activities on Friday & Saturday

-Natural Trail Obstacles

-Private Lessons availalble (see registration)

Participants will be responsible for their own meals throughout the weekend. No concessions available.

Fees: (riders must register for at least one of our workshops to participate in the event)

Trail Horse Workshops

$150.00 per day per horse/rider

Addtional fees:

Stalls $30.00 per night

RV hook up $30.00 per night

Shavings $7.00 per bag

Primitive camping is also available $15.00 per night

Way more than just another Horsemanship Clinic!

February 1st-4th at the Southern 8ths Farm

Our goal is to inspire you to spend more time with your horse.

The privacy & amenities of the So 8ths is just the location to relax with a small group of equestrians. Enjoy sharing horsemanship with like minded folks along with other equine professionals in this beautiful setting.

Knowledge is a terrible thing to waste and we want to share it with you.

Winter Warm-Up Workshops available

Friday 10 am-11 am (Class room session)

Equine Psychology & how to think more like a horse & advance your communication from the ground.

1pm-3pm-(indoor arena) putting skills to use with your horse.

Saturday 10am-11 am (Class room session)

Reins & Their Uses learn finding a feel- explaining the how's and why's of how we communicate with our horses feet & body with our reins & legs.

1pm-3pm- (indoor arena) Putting morning skills to use with your horse.

We are excited to share that Joe & Penny Most were the Winners of the AQHA Trail Challenge Event hosted by AQHA in MO for the 2nd Year in a row! We spend many hours on the trail and enjoy riding all over the United States. Our goal is for you to enjoy your horse as much as we enjoy ours.

Advance your knowledge in all areas of horsemanship.

For any discipline a confident horse is a safer horse.

What to expect during your stay-

-Different learning opportunities in both of our trail horse workshops.
-Time scheduled in to enjoy the grounds and friends.

-Ride as much as you would like during your stay.

-Many amenities for horse & rider including stalls, indoor arena, safe footing & much more.

For all breeds & disciplines including beginner & advanced riders and/or horses.

Horsemanship skills used in areas of trail riding, trail obstacles, horsemanship, ground work and liberty skills will all be a part of these workshops.

Ride and enjoy the trails of the farm during you

free time as much as you like.

The So 8ths Farm has a long history with horses and you will feel the spirit of the horse everywhere on the farm.

Natural Obstacles all along the trails of the farm are available all during your stay.
