ECM Education Series, Business Plan Analysis for Small and Micro Enterprise

One of the most important – and most challenging – tasks for a business development professional is evaluating a client's business plan. Business development professionals must provide insightful feedback on many different business-types in a way that’s relatable to the client. This one-day workshop will focus on small and micro enterprises, and will offer a practical, hands-on opportunity to learn a more systematic approach to analysis. Using two real-life micro enterprise plans, you’ll be asked to analyze, enhance, and provide simulated feedback on what you see (and what you don’t see).
In this course, you will:

• Learn to apply the Entrepreneurial Decision Making Cycle as an approach to working with clients.
• Practice a systematic approach to business plan review
• Identify common issues with small and micro enterprise business plans and practice communicating concerns to clients
• Gain hands-on practice using common financial calculations and comparing the written plan to the financials.
• Share experiences and challenges with other business planning professionals.

Business Plan Analysis for Small and Micro Enterprise is for Business Development Professionals (counselors, consultants, business coaches, and advisors) who work with small business clients to develop, maintain, and expand their businesses. It will be particularly beneficial for anyone who is expected to review written business plans or business funding applications.

Participants will be engaged in an interactive online learning environment and will be given the opportunity to apply the theory presented in the workshop. You will have the opportunity to fully engage with the facilitator and the other participants throughout the training session. You will receive resources and will develop skills that have practical and immediate application for everyday use with your clients.

Online cost: $300.00 per person and $250.00 for each additional participant from the same organization.

Duration: 7 hours + two-hour self-directed assignment to receive a certificate of completion.
