Tiny Treasures | Still Life Painting with Megan Euell Dec. 12th - 15th | 4 days | 10am - 1pm
Join us for 'Tiny Treasures', a workshop designed to introduce you to working with small surfaces, great for still life painting, particularly as we approach the holiday season. Along with reviewing important elements in this genre, one is given the perceptual tools needed to take found objects of importance to them and use the four days to do several small works in still life, or one fully finished 'tiny treasure'.
As you can see from the images of her paintings above, artist and instructor Megan Euell has had much success bringing life force to objects both old and new, still and alive, simple and complex. The still life is a beautiful dance of technique and imagination, representing how the subject(s) are interrelated with each other and their environment. Students will gain an advanced understanding of light, color and form. This course is also a great opportunity to create several 'tiny treasures' as original gifts for the holidays!
