Interactive Storytelling Part 2
Going deeper into using storytelling to build emergent literacy skills, engagement, and whole group collaboration.
4-Hour Professional Development
Earn a CUNY Certificate of Completion and CTLE Credit for Professional and Level III Teaching Assistant certificate holders. To receive CTLE hours, participants MUST COMPLETE the CTLE form during registration.
This workshop will go deeper into the strategies of interactive storytelling and whole group, participant-centered learning.
Storytelling skills and techniques used to bolster participation in order to support early childhood literacy and English acquisition will be strengthened.
As with Part 1, teachers will be asked to reflect on what they have led, give and receive constructive criticism, and discuss future applications. The continued overarching goals are to help the teachers work in a student-centered manner, explore how to encourage and incorporate student’s responses, and tap into their own creativity.
