Friday, May 11

AWESOME and Disney have collaborated to bring you three special tours of magical Disney World. On Day 3 of the AWESOME 2018 Symposium, Friday, May 11, register for a special AWESOME experience at Disney World. All tours will return to the Orlando World Center Marriott no later than 12:30 pm.

Option 1: Tour of Disney’s Automated Textile Supply Chain (SOLD OUT)

Most of the 20 million visitors to the Magic Kingdom each year see only what is out in front. AWESOME has arranged a special tour to see the backstage secrets, technology, and mechanical marvels of one of the world’s largest laundry facilities. This unique behind-the-scenes look at an important aspect of the Disney supply chain in action will show you the real magic.

Option 2: Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival

The 2018 Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, held February 28 through May 28, 2018, offers an array of attractions, breathtaking garden spaces and dozens of world-renowned Disney-themed topiaries. With this self-guided option, you can enjoy it all as you prefer – with a small group of your peers or on your own.

Option 3: The Inside Story of Epcot Gardens of the World

In conjunction with the Flower & Garden Festival, this behind-the-scenes tour will explore and explain the role of landscaping at Walt Disney World Resort and how Disney uses various plant materials and gardening techniques to develop a theme. You will also come away with ideas shared by experts of how to apply Disney landscaping techniques at home.

Fee for each experience is $90. Registration fee is non-refundable.

OPPORTUNITY TO RECOMMEND A HIGH-POTENTIAL LEADER

A limited number of spots will be available for high-potential, high performing women who are expected to meet the AWESOME eligibility criteria in the next 2 – 3 years. Senior-level leaders who meet the eligibility requirements are invited to recommend one high-potential candidate from your organization to attend the Symposium as your guest. These up and coming leaders will receive an invitation to attend all Symposium events and can register at the same fee as the senior-level leaders. Opportunities are limited and guests will be able to register on a first-come, first-served basis until slots are filled. Please note only one guest per company may attend.

REGISTRATION CRITERIA

This is an invitation-only event for senior-level women in supply chain. 

If you are a member of the AWESOME network and received your invitation directly from AWESOME, please proceed by clicking the "Register Now" button below. 

If you would like to attend the Symposium but did not receive an invitation directly from AWESOME, please read the following information about eligibility criteria. If you meet these criteria, please email mary.cline@awesomeleaders.org to request an invitation.

 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA 

• Chief Supply Chain Officers, VPs and Directors with supply chain responsibilities at manufacturing, retail, technology or other companies managing complex supply chains
• Board members, C-suite and VP level leaders in large logistics and supply chain companies, including aerospace, aviation, rail and ocean companies ($500 million and above)
• Board members and C-suite leaders in medium-sized logistics and supply chain companies ($100 – $500 million)
• Partners and practice leaders of large consulting firms in supply chain management, engineering, technology or other related fields ($50 million and above)
• Senior leaders in government and non-governmental organizations (NGOs) focused on transportation and infrastructure
• General / Flag Officers or other select senior leaders in military logistics or purchasing / acquisition roles
• Professors of leading or emerging university-level programs in logistics and supply chain, engineering, information technology and other related programs
• CEOs and Executive Directors of logistics or supply chain industry organizations

CANCELLATION POLICY

In case of cancellation on or before April 15, an administrative fee of $95 will be deducted from the refund and applied to AWESOME's scholarship fund. After April 15, the registration fee is non-refundable.

HOTEL

ORLANDO WORLD CENTER DRIVE (8701 World Center Drive, Orlando, FL 32821)

Participants are responsible for travel and hotel arrangements and costs. Rooms are available – on a first come, first served reservation basis -- at the hotel where the symposium takes place.

Our Symposium Host Partner, JDA Software, has reserved a block of rooms at the hotel in conjunction with their JDA Focus Conference, which takes place immediately before our AWESOME Symposium. When you use the link for hotel reservations, you will be taken to a site for the JDA block. A limited number of rooms have been reserved for AWESOME participants. 

The special rate for Symposium attendees is $241/night, plus tax. The deadline for making your reservation at this rate is Tuesday, April 24, 2018.
