Stress Reduction

Evening Class Series / Winter, 2018

Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an evidence-based educational program proven to be effective for reducing stress and improving health, well-being, and quality of life.  Designed and implemented by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in 1979, MBSR is supported by three decades of scientific research confirming its benefits. Today MBSR continues to grow in popularity and is taught in hundreds of health-care and wellness settings throughout the U.S. and worldwide.

The next eight week class series will be offered on Thursday evenings beginning Jan. 25, 2018 from 6:00 - 8:30 pm through Mar. 15. Space is limited to 15 participants.

The course tuition is $530 for the eight week program including weekly classes, handbook, audio recordings for home practice, and Day of Mindfulness Retreat. A monthly payment plan is available.

Madeline Ebelini MA, RYT, founder of Integrative Mindfulness, is Southwest Florida's only certified MBSR teacher, having received certification through U. C. San Diego's School of Medicine. She holds a Master's degree in Transpersonal Psychology from Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado and is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT). Her graduate work explored mindfulness as the context for growth-fostering relationships, community, and integral practice, and included comprehensive training in meditation. Madeline's professional training in MBSR also includes instruction with senior faculty at the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care and Society at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, including Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, founder of the MBSR program. She has taught MBSR since 2010. She is a daily practitioner of mindfulness meditation and yoga, and attends annual silent meditation retreats. Madeline has experienced the benefits of mindfulness in her own life, and witnessed remarkable transformations in her MBSR graduates. She is also a member of the teaching faculty at where she teaches Stress Less, Live More and Mindfulness at Work
