When is the workshop being held?

The 4-day workshop will be held June 25-28, 2018, at the Colorado Center for Nursing Excellence in the Education Center (Suite 100).  The workshop will be held from 7:30 am - 4:30 pm each day. Participants are expected to attend all four days of the workshop, as the content is sequential and builds on itself. Breakfast, lunch and snack will be provided each day. Participants who complete all hours of the workshop will be eligible to receive nursing contact hours.*

Registration is open now, but closes on May 31, 2018. Space is limited, so please register as soon as possible.

What will I learn in this course?

Participants will develop greater skills and expertise in communication and relationship management, business skills and principles, leadership and professional development.  Content will be presented by expert faculty. Subjects will include time management, delegating, negotiation and influencing skills, creating a culture of civility, conflict resolution, BON reporting requirements and fundraising.  By the end of the workshop, participants will be prepared to develop a capstone project to be conducted and completed over the following 12 months.

What will be expected of me following this workshop?

Participants will be required to complete a project that demonstrates a deep understanding of the subjects learned. The time frame for this project is one year. The project should incorporate leadership concepts learned during the workshop into practice through a project relevant to their work environment.

What will I need to do to prepare for this workshop?

Prior to the workshop you will be emailed information and links to complete the DISC personality assessment. There are different leadership methods and styles that coincide with each personality type, which could help leaders be more effective. Participants will also be emailed instructions on completing an emotional intelligence assessment. This workshop will also provide an opportunity to have your questions answered, so come prepared to engage and participate in active learning.
