Evaluate Yourself and Take the First Steps

This workshop will enable you to assess your prospects, and give you the initial direction and inspiration you need to move forward and realize your dream.

In this workshop, you will learn how to:

Debunk the six seductive myths about starting a business.

  1. All I need is as good idea to be a successful entrepreneur.

  2. If you go out on your own, you won’t have to work so hard or such long hours.

  3. You'll be able to deduct everything so you don't have to pay taxes.

  4. If you work independently, you won't have to report to a boss.

  5. Business owners only have to do the “fun” stuff.

  6. If you choose to be self-employed, you'll be limited in what you
can achieve since you'll be working alone.
  7. Improve your odds of success with a simple, 3-step planning process:

Step 1--Evaluate your skills, aspirations, and expectations

Step 2--Set goals and objectives for success

Step 3--Make a realistic business plan, including SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats) analysis

The workshop will conclude a question and answer session to allow you to take full advantage of Mr. Lieberman’s expertise and knowledge as they relate to your dream.

Presenter: Mark Lieberman is a successful serial entrepreneur who founded several small businesses with sales of up to $20 million. A published author, he holds an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg Graduate School of Business.
