Representing Consumers in District Court: Identifying Defenses and Affirmative Claims 

At this free* webcast training, top consumer law practititoners will prepare you to defend, settle, and negotiate common types of debt collection cases in Maryland district court, including actions involving debt buyers, residential leases, and automobile loans, as well as provide you with tips on the practical ways you can use affirmative claims to resolve your clients' cases. To wrap up the training, we'll feature a Q&A session with an executive member of the Maryland-DC Creditor's Bar Association.

In order to view this training, you must be a Maryland-barred attorney in good standing, recent law school graduate awaiting results from the July 2017 Maryland bar exam, OR become specially authorized to practice pro bono in Maryland.
