About Mindfulness Meditation
Mindfulness Meditation is a simple, gentle, and effective mental training that is designed to bring the mind back to the present moment. Through training the brain in this way, we create a spacious and compassionate relationship with ourselves and our experience. Thirty years of medical research have demonstrated that this practice has significant benefits to both physical and emotional health and resilience.

Mindfulness Meditation is free from any particular faith or religious belief.  It empowers you to work consciously and systematically with your own stress, pain, illness, and the challenges of daily life.

About This Workshop
My primary goal in offering this experiential workshop is to provide you with the basic tools you will need in order begin, right away, to practice Mindfulness Meditation on a daily basis.  

In this workshop, you will learn, through your own direct experience, what "mindfulness" and Mindfulness Meditation are, and most importantly, how to practice them in your daily life.  We will do a number of different mindfulness exercises - including Mindful Eating at lunch (which is delicious) - and two 20 minute periods of formal sitting meditation practice.

You will also learn (but not be overloaded by) some basic information about the background of Mindfulness Meditation, the science behind it and how it works, and a review of research about the benefits of it.  You'll have lots of opportunity to ask questions.

Mindfulness Mediation practice has transformed my life in a gradual, gentle but very positive way. It has made me passionate about wanting to share the practice with others.

I've had my own personal daily practice in Mindfulness Meditation for more than 25 years.  In addition, I attend at least one 7-day silent meditation retreat every year, which is a requirement for meditation teachers. I've been teaching Mindfulness Meditation since 2003.

My professional practice includes working with individual adults who are seeking help with stress-related physical and emotional problems, anxiety, panic, depression and chronic pain.  The client and I work together within a Mindfulness-Based Psychotherapy approach.

I can provide Meditation Coaching, in person or by phone or on-line. 

I also offer Mindfulness seminars and workshops to organizations of all kinds, from large corporations to small non-profit groups.

Course Fee
The cost of this workshop is $180.00. It must be paid in advance, either online through PayPal and/or a credit card, or by cheque sent through the mail. Payment is required before your registration can be confirmed.

This fee includes lunch (delicious), free parking, a meditation training recording,  and a workshop manual. 

Your Extended Health Insurance plan may cover some or all of the course.

100% Refund if cancellation occurs on or before Friday, January 5, 2018
50% Refund if cancellation occurs between Saturday January 6 and Wednesday, January 17, 2018.
