1:30 pm Shining the Light on LiDAR
LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) is a relatively new remote sensing technology that can capture precise (~1 meter) three dimensional measurements of the earth surface, including stonewalls and cellar holes. It has shown promise for a number of forestry applications including inventory and management. Most of New Hampshire (84%) has been mapped with LiDAR and the data is now publicly accessible. The presenters will discuss how to access and potentially utilize this data.
