Eyeing the Stars

Geminid Meteor Shower Viewing Event

How do you host a star party?  You planet!  This winter, VINS will hold its very own event to celebrate and view the Geminid meteor shower.

Journey into VINS’ new StarLab for an unforgettable experience.  Immersed in a view of our night sky, we will overlay that vista with a map of the constellations and hear the story of the Gemini and other figures from Greek Mythology.

After that, grab a cup of cocoa and move outside as the real show begins in the sky above us.  Known as one of the best meteor shows of the year, the Geminid meteor shower will provide amazing star gazing opportunities.

Do not miss your opportunity to catch a glimpse of a shooting star and learn about constellations in our sky.

Cost: Free for VINS Members, $8.00 Adults, $5.00 Youth

Reservations for seating in the StarLab are encouraged as space is limited.  Seating for the StarLab will be at 7:00pm, 7:30pm.  We will open up the 8:00pm seating only if necessary.  Reserve your spot today.  Register online or call (802)359-5000 x245.
