December Teen Science Café:
Trimble SketchUp Tour!
Tour Boulder's own, Trimble SketchUp! SketchUp is a 3D modeling computer program (with a free version!) that is used for a wide range of drawing applications by architects, interior designers, landscape architects, civil and mechanical engineers, film and video game designers and other artists of all kinds. It’s also a startup company that employs a range of software engineers and designers. During the tour, we’ll rotate through four stations where we'll get to:
- Meet an architect who will show us how they use the software
- Get a demo of SketchUp’s use for 3D printing
- Play with some cutting edge Mixed Reality tools, including Microsoft’s HoloLens for viewing holographic versions of complex architectural designs and the HTC Vive, a tool for interactive 3D gaming
- Get a chance to make our own creations using the Pro version of the software.
Join us for this unique opportunity to go behind-the-scenes at this amazing organization!
