Homes throughout Barrington

Chris Watson
Friends of the Bay Spring Community Center

One night every year, friends and neighbors join together for the Light Up the Night luminary event to celebrate the Winter Solstice and create a glowing sense of community throughout Barrington. In doing so, they support the arts, music, and culture programs at the Bay Spring Community Center.

In each of the last five years, more than 1,000 luminaries have linked homes and neighborhoods across Barrington on the Winter Solstice. They illuminated the night with flickering candlelight lining driveways, yards, porches, and more in a simple, beautiful display of community unity.

This year, Light Up the Night takes place on December 21, 2017.

Kits cost $10 a piece and include everything you need for five luminaries. Our neighborhood volunteers will deliver them in plenty of time for you to get ready to light up the night!

We are sold out! Thank you everyone for your support! More than 1,500 luminaries will light up Barrington on December 21st thanks to you.
