On Saturday, January 27, 2018, the third annual diocesan Music Conference will be held at St. John's By-the-Sea in Kaneohe, from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Explore your roles as leaders, teachers, inviters, transformers, and so much more, as we preach the Good News through God’s gift of Song.

Participants are encouraged to bring an instrument to play and to bring copies of music and things you are doing to share.

Leading this year's conference is Joe Kanoelehua Camacho, liturgy coordintor, musician, composer, singer, dancer and professional entertainer from the Big Island. Camacho is one of the founders of the Big Island Liturgy and Arts Conference (BILAC) that brings together outstanding composers and speakers from across the United States to Hawai'i. He also has deep roots in the Merrie Monarch Festival, both as a dancer (and member of the halau that was the first winners of the festival in 1971) and musician. He worked as a full-time music director in a catholic parish for over 25 years and is currently the composer in residence at the Hale Lokahi Retreat House in Volcano Hawai'i. Camacho continues to travel nationally as a polynesian entertainer and remains involved in creating networks within a community.

The cost is $30.00 and includes lunch. To register, please click on the link below.  Deadline to register is January 20, 2018.
