Radius Indiana's Economic Development for Community Leadership program brings a training program to southern Indiana to provide information about economic development policies, practices, and programs to local community leaders who want to play a role in or better understand the dynamics of local economic development responsibilities.
The two-and-a-half day course will provide 15 sessions that are an average of 90 minutes each. Each session will cover a topic that is pertinent to the day-to-day activities involved in local economic development. Some of the topics include:
Real Estate Development/Site Development
Strategic Planning
Marketing in Economic Development
Business Retention and Expansion
Entrepreneurship
Small Business
Business Finance Tools – Abatement, TIF, Incentives Workforce
Quality of Place
Community Development
Courses will be taught by experienced economic development practitioners who know and work with Indiana economic development programs and clients.
