Come and explore the ancient pre-Christian beliefs of the Celts. Their world was one of magic and mystery and deep connection with the Mothers of the Land. The Celts walked freely between the worlds, in communion with the ancestors, and in conscious awareness of their interconnectedness with nature. Their path of life has much to teach us today!
Celtic concepts discussed in class will include the Otherworld, “betwixt and between”, the Mists, the Hearth, and the Celtic heart. We will welcome the Goddess Brigid, and God Lugh, and immerse ourselves in the ancient world of the Celts. Through the use of drumming, singing, movement, divination, poetry, outdoor exercises on the land, ritual and more, we will explore this ancient way of being in the world. You do need to know how to journey and have a good working relationship with your power animals to attend this class. A class list of what to bring to class will be sent to all students about a month before the class. You will be asked to bring a nature poem of any length that you can share with the class.
