Grantwriting 101 & 102:

2-Part Webinar (2/27/18 & 3/27/18) 


IMPORTANT: This is a 2-part webinar that meets Tuesday, February 27 AND Tuesday, March 27 from 2:00 - 3:30 pm each day. You must attend both sessions.

This course will help beginner and novice grant writers alike. Start by learning basic skills and terminology related to grant writing. During the workshop, each section of a typical grant application will be highlighted with information on what funders are looking for and tips on how to write that section. 

Learning Outcomes for participants:

  • Understand what funders are looking for in applications    
  • Decipher confusting grant-related terminology    
  • Have a usable system to connect all the pieces of an application together    
  • Create a system to measure the outcomes of program participants    
  • Infuse their organization's strengths into competitive proposals 

 

Virtual Trainer: Alice Ruhnke, Founder, The Grant Advantage

Over the past decade, Alice has worked with hundreds of nonprofit organizations to help them increase their organizational capacity and secure funding. She has raised over $27 million writing grants and has been in charge of awarding and monitoring federal funds to nonprofit organizations throughout West Virginia. She is also the author of a new manual "Mapping the Course: A Practical Approach to Grant Writing."

Alice received both her BS in Human Development and Family Relations and MA in Education/Counseling Psychology from the University of Connecticut. 

This is an online class. Access information will be emailed one week ahead.

Cost: NEFLIN classes are free of charge for Florida library staff. Registration is required for all classes and NEFLIN members get priority.
