"Survey Design"

Workshop goal:
This workshop is designed to provide educators with a systematic approach to survey development while using their own survey idea.

Workshop objectives: Participants will…..

1. List the steps required in survey development

2. Construct well designed survey questions

3. Explain the advantages of piloting a survey

4. Start to create a draft survey instrument

Session description:
Participants taking this workshop are encouraged to bring a survey or survey idea that they are currently working on. During the two hour workshop participants will work through the steps required to develop a survey, practice writing survey questions, and learn about piloting a survey. By the end of the workshop participants will have an outline of a draft survey instrument which they will be able to take back and develop into a final product.
