NACTEI PRE-CONFERENCE ON PERKINS V

Michael Brustein will conduct a comprehensive analysis of the new Perkins V legislation as a pre-conference session at the annual National Association of Career Technical Education Information (NACTEI) conference in Phoenix, Arizona on May 14, 2018 at the Renaissance Phoenix – Glendale Hotel & Spa from 9 am until noon.

This session will focus on the numerous changes to the current law, including uses of funds, local plans, accountability, special population designations, definition of CTE, and incorporation of ESSA and WIOA requirements. Key compliance issues related to supplement not supplant, maintenance of effort, changes to set-asides, new requirements on time and effort, pass-through monitoring, and record retention will also be addressed.
