Kinsmen Lutheran Church invites local teens and their parents to a special presentation on Wednesday, January 24 from 7 to 9 p.m.
Presented by Chelsie Sargent, a licensed professional counselor, the workshop will encourage high school students to be wise in their use of social media in order to maintain healthy friendships and dating relationships. Sargent has spoken to schools and community groups across Texas about many topics, including online bullying and setting good boundaries.
The workshop will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, at Kinsmen Lutheran Church, 12100 Champion Forest Drive in Houston, 77066. Admission is free, but registration is requested at www.kinsmenlutheran.org. All are welcome.
Chelsie Sargent is an independent licensed professional counselor who has spoken at schools, conferences, churches and universities all over Texas on the issues of technology safety and dating violence. She is a member of the American Counseling Association and holds a bachelor’s degree from Abilene Christian University, as well as a Masters of Education degree in counseling and human development from Hardin Simmons University.
