Our workshop concludes with a documentary photo book made by all the students.  A copy of this book is included in the price. CLICK HERE to see highlights from overnight workshops 2017.

DOC PHOTO DAYS:  We use Nikon DSLR cameras, have photo lessons and field trips daily.  We will touch on storytelling and use of text with images.  Sample trips are to The Matunuck Oyster Farm, Galilee Fishing Boats, Aunt Carries Restaurant, The Grist Mill, The Fantastic Umbrella Factory, and Sunset Farm.  We will touch on The Narragansett Indian Tribe, and how their food culture lives on today.  For the adventurous, we will go "quohogging" to gather our own bounty for chowder and "stuffies".

INCLUDED:  Price includes all food and entertainment, a high quality photo book made by students documenting our trip, a USB drive. T-shirts are additional cost and are available at check out.

THE HOUSE:  Our private home is 1/2 mile from the beach, has two decks, a jacuzzi tub, large yard and private accomodations for the students. There will be an in-house cook and nightly activities.

SLEEPING: 3 private rooms on the second floor with a shared bathroom, queen bed in each room.  2 rooms in the loft for those who want more of a sleep-over/ camp vibe. Room requests taken by email to Jenny.  Staff has their own separate basement level accomodations.

THE STAFF:  Jenny is the lead instructor and in charge of girls at all times.  The in-house cook is Jenny's son, Desmond who will be a rising 10th grader at BLS.  He was the general assistant for our maine overnight classes and has been a photo student as well. There is an RA/Program Assistant who will run the evening activities such as game night, tag and mini writing and self defense exercises.  This position is currently slotted to be Jenny's niece, a local Narragabsett resident, and junior at Clark University.
