This full day training in a beautiful setting of Wayne National Forest teaches ways for supporting young adults ages 18-24 in shelters, outreach programs and runaway/homeless youth programs. You'll learn about the dynamics of serving this unique population and will participate in a runaway and homeless simulation exploring the barriers, isolation and lack of resources. You'll understand the impact of domestic violence in child witnessing and within the young adults' own relationships as well as recognizie their strengths and resiliency. This training provides resources, outreach strategies and a working plan to help you partner with a local youth-serving agency.
