An introduction to air and water-resistive barriers and how they work. The role of air leakage in causing mold in walls and high energy costs is explained. The program includes discussion of the different products on the market. It also explains why contemporary building envelopes need these products now more than ever before.

Evolution of Water-Resistive and Air Barriers in Commercial Building Envelope Construction Presented by Georgia-Pacific

The program will inform the design community of the evolutionary process of water and air barriers in commercial construction since their inception while examining the benefits and purposes of each method. In addition, the program will look extensively at newly-developed methods of incorporating these barriers with the exterior sheathing to for an integrated system.

Managing Project-Specific Details - Real-time Colaboration Between the Design Professional and Product Specialists Presented by Prosoco

A depiction and analysis of unusual and problematic detailing conditions from specfic projects that go beyond use of a manufacturer's standard details for common conditions. The program demonstrates how fluid-applied flashing and detailing products rather than peel-and-stick membranes can be successfully used to handle particularly challenging conditions and how designers can interact with manufacturers to obtain detailing support.
