Colors of Freedom Festival Performance Registration
The 4th of July celebration in Everett is a colorful and exciting event, not only because of the fireworks display, but also because of the 12 different ethnicities represented every year in the Colors of Freedom Festival and Parade. This year, Leadership Snohomish County and the City of Everett are partnering to add a new enriching piece of entertainment and education to the City’s 4th of July celebration. This celebration is a great time to share your culture’s beauty, story and pride with the community.
Poets, student groups, story tellers, dancers, singers, drummers, and anyone else interested in performing for the 7,000+ residents, families, and guests of the 4th of July celebration are invited to apply.
Expectations of performances:
- Each group is responsible for their own introductions.
- Entire group must be checked in and in costume, performance ready 1/2 hour before performance start time
- Groups are asked to also help us promote the festival to their respective network, group, social media followers, etc.
- Parking is not available near the stage, please make prior arrangements and ensure plenty of time to arrive, warm up and be ready to go 1/2 hour before performance start time.
- Be respectful of the time your group was allotted. Other groups are scheduled to perform on this day too. You will only be allowed to stay on the stage for your allotted time.
- All performers are encouraged to have someone record and promote your live performance as well. We ask that all social media sharing be tagged with #LSC2018.
