About Locavore and Farm Kids: Central Oregon Locavore is a small, grassroots non-profit that promotes local food and farmers for the health of our community. Locavore houses 8 educational programs, including a 6-day a week indoor farmers market located at 3rd and Revere. The additional 7 programs are educational and celebrational in nature. The Farm Kids program takes place each spring in collaboration with the Deschutes Public School District. Kindergarten-3rd grade children are treated to experiential field trips to local farms where they learn about where food comes from. Low income schools are provided with scholarships and the focus of this program.

About 5 Fusion: Located in the heart of downtown Bend, 5 Fusion melds key elements of Asian and European cuisine into a tantalizing "fusion" of flavors, along with Central Oregon’s best sushi and inspired cocktails.

Executive Chef Joe Kim has built an environment at 5 Fusion that is filled with passion, creativity, and a true desire to push the limits of cuisine in Bend.  In a nod to his talents, he has received three nominations for a James Beard Foundation award for Best Chef in the Northwest - the first Central Oregon chef to receive this honor.

The Fusion 5 Charity Dinner Series is part of an ongoing effort by the 5 Fusion team to increase community support and awareness of local non-profit organizations.   “A key reason we even exist is to give back to our community.  It’s a huge part of our mission,” relates co-owner Lilian Chu. “We began our Charity Dinner Series as a way to support the non-profits who make Central Oregon the best place to live and thrive.”
