The California Park & Recreation Society - Administrator's Section supports Park and Recreation Managers and Directors throughout the State of California. 7:45 am - Breakfast Keynote Speaker - Gabrielle Lee, NASA-JPL

 

2019 will be the 50th anniversary of the moon landing and who better to get us ready then NASA.  Introducing Gabrielle Lee who manages contracts for Earth science missions and commercial programs at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). In addition to contracts, her work at JPL focuses on knowledge-transfer and process-improvement efforts. She is an advocate for workplace culture change via interdepartmental, inclusive collaboration.   She will be discussing the innovations by NASA and the continual approach to being creative in public service.


8:20 am - Speaker - Dr. Ana M. Alvarez, PhD., East Bay Regional Park District

 

Dr. Ana M. Alvarez serves as the Deputy General Manager for the East Bay Regional Park District, which is one of the largest local park agency in the country that serves a populace of approximately 2.5 million in Alameda and Contra Costa counties on the eastern side of the San Francisco Bay region.  She will be speaking on sustainability with the importance of innovation in the public sphere as well as the latest with SB 5 Park Bond.
