Our main speaker is a serial entrepreneur with over 40 years of experience starting, buying, running, and selling small businesses. He will help you explore what it takes to be an entrepreneur, how to develop a business concept, and how to plan for becoming a business owner. He will explain your choices for owning a business and guide you to get the help you need to succeed. Also, we have arranged for Julie Brown, a research librarian from Austin Public Library, to attend to discuss how to use research resources to tailor your business to the marketplace and Kyle de Haas to discuss purchasing a franchise as a means to business ownership.
