Seminar Description
Learning about career and education choices is an ongoing process as students discover more about careers. This course includes information to help students understand many choices for meaningful post-secondary decisions beyond the traditionally-communicated associate of arts/sciences and bachelors’ degree programs.
The politics of college-going programs will be discussed. Participants will be introduced to common mistakes students make and the vocabulary they need to navigate their choices. Student and adult myths about options will be discussed and participants will discover ways to help families understand and manage the costs of educational options. Discussions among participants will highlight current practices and methods for improving programs.
