Chagas Disease in Texas Webinar

This webinar is aimed at giving healthcare providers and veterinarians the most up-to-date information on Chagas disease in Texas (and approved for CME, and CE, respectively). This is a good opportunity to hear about Chagas disease directly from treating physicians and experts in the field.

Who should attend:  Healthcare providers (e.g., physicians, nurses, medical students and all other healthcare professionals), Veterinarians and Veterinarian Technicians, Public Health Practitioners

The goal of this workshop is to discuss surveillance, diagnostics, treatment and awareness of Chagas disease in Texas. 
 
Facilitator: Paula Stigler Granados, PhD; Assistant Professor UTHealth School of Public Health in San Antonio. 

Topics will include:
 Epidemiology of the disease, including the lifecycle of the parasite and disease transmission
 Phases and clinical presentations of the disease
 Screening and diagnostics
 Current treatment options
 Case studies presented by physicians
