The Folk Arts Center's international dance and music session at Pinewoods Camp in Plymouth, Massachusetts is the ideal time and place to "get away from it all"! 

Our dance instructors this year are:  Stephen and Susan Kotansky, who have been away from Pinewoods for too many years, and an exhilarating group of four young musicians and dancers from the Basque region who thrilled folks at the NEFFA 2017 Festival when they presented their music and dances from this culturally rich western Pyrenees area straddling Spain and France.

Not seen at Pinewoods since 1993, it was high time to change that streak and have this popular couple back at camp again!  Steve and Susy will be teaching dances from the Balkans, and just might throw in a surprise or two here and there!

Jokin Irungaray - Dances from the Basque Country 
Jokin, backed up by his fellow band members, will be teaching dances they grew up doing home in the Basque Country!  Many of us were introduced to Jokin and the rest of Sasi Ardiak at NEFFA 2017, where they performed a concert of Basque music one day and taught a dance workshop the next.

Music for the evening dance parties is provided by the incomparable and highly esteemed Pinewoods Band!

Music for the Basque dance classes and evening reviews, as well as classes in how to play the pandero (Basque tambourine), and singing and instrumental classes.

A limitation of this online registration service is that you may register only ONCE under any given email address ... so if you have more than one person sharing an email address in your family, MAKE SURE to register them by pressing the "Add" button after you've registered yourself! If you forget, don't despair, and certainly don't leave home without them (!), just call the FAC office and we'll take their registration over the phone. Or, you can download a pdf application from the FAC website and mail it in to the offices (address at the top left side of this page).

This registration process will ask basic information about you and require a deposit.  You may pay the deposit online with PayPal, or send in a check to the office. 

After you have been accepted to camp, the FAC office will send you a link to another form that will gather more detailed information on arrival/departure from camp, housing preferences, dietary restrictions and camper job choices.
