Deadline for FIS Entrepreneurship & Business Development Fellowships 

We have a full-time Fellowship Program.

Our Entrepreneurship Fellow Program is a 2-year, full-time interdisciplinary leadership program designed to support and develop future leaders in life science commercialization. The program provides innovative scientists with the skills and relationships required for managing successful early-stage life sciences companies through experiential learning.

During the 2-year program, fellows will receive compensation based on the NIH postdoctoral fellow stipend levels and will have the opportunity to:

  • Gain real-world experience in entrepreneurship and life science development
  • Manage R&D activities, intellectual property, business development, regulatory affairs, and financing of one or more of Fannin’s therapeutics or device portfolio companies
  • Participate in our Fellow Development Program designed to complement the experiential learning activities
  • Build a network of biomedical entrepreneurs and other industry professionals
  • Attend industry workshops and conferences

Our Business Development Fellow Program is a 2-year, full-time interdisciplinary leadership program designed to equip individuals with the skills and relationships required to establish a business development career in industry, with biomedical start-ups, or in technology transfer.

During the 2-year program, fellows will receive compensation based on the NIH postdoctoral fellow stipend levels and will have the opportunity to:

  • Engage with and develop relationships with BD professionals within academic technology transfer offices, and pharma, biotech and device companies across the world.
  • Participate in business development and partnering meetings representing Fannin and our portfolio companies
  • Identify researchers at Houston academic institutions working on areas of interest to potential partners
  • Participate in our Fellow Development Program designed to complement the experiential learning activities
