Effectively Living and Working

Within A Diverse World

Presented by Jodi Pfarr

 Friday, March 16, 2018 - 9:00 am to 3:30 pm

(Lunch will be on your own)

Free: 5.25 CEU's for attending this training (IAODAPCA included)

Target Audience: Psychiatrist (MD), Psychiatric Nurse (RN), Psychologist (Ph.D) Social Worker (MSW), Mental Health Counselor, Mental Health Therapist, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) and other mental health professionals

ln today’s diverse world, our professional and personal experiences often require us to work effectively with diverse populations – whether that diversity is economic, racial, gender, etc. This unique training will allow participants to become conscience of and better understand their personal experiences while also being open to the complexities of other’s experiences.

Participants leave with a very practical understanding of how to work effectively with diverse populations to help them better manage, supervise, or volunteer within their organizations or communities.

Presenter: Jodi Pfarr.

Jodi Pfarr brings to her audiences the knowledge gained from direct experience with not-for-profit organizations, and more than 12 years of international presenting under her belt. Pfarr served as executive director of Emma Norton Services providing housing to single women with low-income, mental illness, and/or chemical dependency issues. She also worked for several years with Catholic Charities in a supervisory role. This followed her post of supervising special needs shelter for the Salvation Army.

Jodi is author of Tactical Communications for first responders. She is familiar with the police culture and the challenges officers face. Jodi also wrote the book The Power of Diversity. Pfarr has been a consultant for aha! Process Inc., since 2001 and shares her experiences on the DVD Jodi's Stories.
