What does it look and sound like when young people partner with adults as they shape their educational experience?
What will the day include?
Take part in the morning interactive “Sharing Sessions” to redefine the realm of possibility. You will be informed and inspired by stories of schools around Vermont where young people have been partnering with adults to shape all aspects of their schools - classroom learning, behavior management, innovative governance structures, continuous improvement efforts….and more.
Following a networking lunch, participants will have the opportunity to suggest a topic for an Open Space conversation to explore what it means to be part of current Vermont change efforts.
Youth-Adult Partnerships are evident in:
Maximum team size is 10.
Registration fees: $20 per person (youth or adult)
UP Initiative teams (YATST, M3, GTY, CSR) may bring up to 4 team members without cost. Any youth-adult teams may receive up to 4 registration waivers.
A maximum of 4 waivers per UP Initiative school (team leader and teammates) is available, whether presenting or not. Waivers will be provided by UP at time of invoicing. Please complete the full registration process.
Presenters not part of a school team are expected to pay the registration fee. Space is limited. Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Lunch will be provided.
Invoices will be sent electronically upon registration by UP for Learning. Waivers will be provided at the time of invoicing. Payment is due upon receipt of the invoice. Cancellations must be made by April 23rd in order to receive a full refund.
