The Capacity Builders Conference will provide non-profits in the area with the tools to grow their organizations and secure sustainable resources. This learning opportunity is for non-profits that are physically located in the Promise Zone, provide programs or services in the zone or work with residents from the zone.

The St. Louis Promise Zone is led by the St. Louis Economic Development Partnership, the economic development agency representing St. Louis City and St. Louis County. The zone was federally designated in 2015 for ten years, and encompasses portions of North St. Louis City and North St. Louis County. The designation is a catalyst for ongoing collaboration and change that will drive regional growth and create a better, more inclusive St. Louis region. Through regional collaboration, local leaders will work with the Promise Zone communities to increase economic activity, improve educational outcomes, increase workforce readiness, reduce serious and violent crime, invest in transformative development and improve health and wellness. The Promise Zone includes the following areas:

Municipalities: Bellerive Acres, Bel-Nor, Bel-Ridge, Berkeley, Beverly Hills, Cool Valley, Country Club Hills, Dellwood, Ferguson, Flordell Hills, Glen Echo Park, Greendale, Hazelwood, Hillsdale, Jennings, Kinloch, Moline Acres, Normandy, Northwoods, Pagedale, Pine Lawn, Riverview, University City, Uplands Park, Velda City, Velda Village Hills, Wellston

St. Louis City Wards: 1-5, 18, 19, 21, 22, 26, 27
