Technology, Intelligence, Analytics: Innovative Approaches to Reducing    Violent Crime

The dynamic landscape of violent crime has led many local police agencies and their federal partners to reassess how to best reduce violent crime, better support officers on patrol, and improve the quality of life for the communities they serve. This Executive Session will review how local police agencies are using innovative approaches in the use of technology, intelligence, and analytics to support their efforts to reduce violent crime.

Panelists will discuss various approaches and technologies including ShotSpotter, the National Integrated Ballistics Information Network (NIBIN), Digital Imaging Video analysis (DIVRT), Digital Intelligence, crime analytics, social network analysis, and more. Law enforcement executives, officers, police practitioners, researchers, students, interested community representatives, local government officials, and criminal justice stakeholders are invited to attend this important discussion.

Featured panelists include: Chief (ret.) Flynn, from the Milwaukee, WI Police Department, Deputy Chief Dennis Kato from the Los Angeles, CA Police Department, Deputy Chief Don Crowe from the Memphis, TN Police Deparment, Lt.
