Featured Speakers

Robert Laszewski

Health Policy and Strategy Associates

Bob is a well-known and highly regarded expert on health care policy from Washington, DC.  He combines a unique blend of 20 years of "inside the Beltway" experience with 20 years of operational experience having run a health insurance business.  He has offered his perspective on health care reform in testimony before several committees of both the House and Senate of the U.S. Congress. Bob has written and spoken widely on the subject of health care reform and market change. His media appearances include health care features on NBC, CBS, Fox, CNN, MSNBC, PBS, and NPR. Additionally, numerous articles about his ideas have appeared in the national and trade press and he has been regularly quoted in many newspapers including The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, USA Today, and the Washington Post.

Marc Granson, MD

SurgeonCheck, LLC

Marc Granson, MD, was a vascular surgeon for 33 years and Chair of Surgery for St. Luke’s University Health Network from 2003 to 2016.  While he was Chair, he realized no hospitals had a tool to analyze the quality AND cost of their surgeons and patients had no way to objectively choose their surgeon.  In late 2016, Dr. Granson stepped down as Chair to dedicate his energy to SurgeonCheck. He is on a mission to bring transparency and objective measurement to surgical outcomes. Dr. Granson earned a B.S. from Indiana University, an M.D. from Temple University School of Medicine and completed his General Surgery residency at the University of Southern California. He completed his Fellowship in Vascular Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania.

Andrews currently serves as the CEO of the Health Transformation Alliance (HTA).  As CEO of the HTA, Andrews oversees the strategic direction of 40+ major corporations who have come together in an alliance to do one thing: fix our broken healthcare system.  Formed by four founding members in September 2015, the HTA has grown to include more than 40 of our nation’s leading employers, who collectively are responsible for more than 7 million employees, dependents and retirees and an annual health care spend of $26 billion.  Through Andrews’ leadership, the HTA has launched value-driven solutions specifically designed to improve patient care and economic value through world-class data & analytics, path-breaking pharmaceutical solutions, high quality medical networks and robust consumer engagement initiatives.  Andrews previously led the Government Affairs practice at Dilworth Paxson law firm for two years before joining the HTA.  Prior to private practice, Andrews served as a Member of the United States House of Representatives for nearly 24 years.

She also has accountability for marketing, human resources and client relations.  During her 30+ years in healthcare, Heather has led start-ups, health plans and provider organizations, directing initiatives on strategy, transparency, diversification, product innovation, operations and analytics. She previously co-founded and served as vice president of product development, delivery and engineering for Choicelinx Corp. and co-authored an adverse selection actuarial model with Milliman USA.  Heather is a Notre Dame College graduate and received an MBA from Southern New Hampshire University.
