A workshop focusing on the components of a successful business plan:
Clear, succinct writing style
Compelling business description
Importance of market research
Effective development of meaningful financial projections
The plan consists of four sections: Business Description, Management and Operations, Marketing and Sales and Financial Projections. Also included is an application for funding along with a discussion of funding resources, both conventional and alternative.
The workshop teaches you to analyze the strengths and weaknesses of your business and your competition. It will help you determine the overall feasibility of the plan. The important aspects of starting and operating a business will be discussed along with applying financial data to the decision processes.
The program includes handouts that are valuable resources in writing a successful business plan.

ABOUT our Instructor
Over 20 years broad global finance and operations experience in the telecommunications and consumer goods industry.
Prior to 2015 I was CFO and Controller of Sony Mobile North America. In this position I was responsible for providing accounting, credit management and customer fulfillment services to North and Latin America and developed and implemented the company 3-year strategic plan and annual budget. I was a member of the Board of Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications Inc., and served on the Benefits Committee which was responsible for the Company 401k design and investment decisions and health and other employee benefit programs.
In 2012 I was acting President of Sales & Marketing for North America. I headed all aspects of Company operations in the US and Canada. Focused on growth and new customers. I secured and executed marketing and sales plans and oversaw a key product launch with a new customer.
From 2007 to 2010 as Vice President of Global Customer Services for Sony Ericsson based in Sweden, I led a team of 600 direct FTEs and up to 50,000 outsourced FTEs in over 95 countries. This organization was responsible for after-sales service to consumers. This included the development and delivery of consumer services and tools; reverse logistics; call centers, web service and repair infrastructure.
Earlier in my career I was Director of Business Control and Planning for Sony Ericsson in Latin America and prior to that in China. In these positions I was responsible for finance planning and reporting, accounting, treasury and credit management logistics, supply, operational development, pricing and customer contracts. I managed these areas successfully in environments of contraction (China) and rapid growth (Latin America).
I started my career at the Coca-Cola Company in Madrid, Spain as Assistant Accounting manager and quickly progressed through the Company to become a Principal Accountant working with Latin American and based out of Coca-Cola corporate headquarters in Atlanta. I am a native Spanish speaker.
