2018 Spring Iowa Becoming an Outdoors-Woman

Important Registration Information - Please Read

Workshop fees include instruction in all sessions, program materials, use of demonstration equipment, t-shirt, session takeaways, meals and lodging. The workshop is being held at Honey Creek State Resort in Moravia, IA. Lodging is available in modern cabins with shared bathrooms for 3-5 occupants or in hotel rooms for 1-2 occupants.

Participants are welcome to make their own lodging arrangements through the DNR Park Reservation System to reserve a camping spot at Honey Creek Resort. 

Registration is complete upon receipt of your registration, payment and your medical form. You will get a confirmation email upon successful registration. Thirty days prior to the workshop, participants will receive an email with a check list of what to bring, a pre-event survey, and map to Honey Creek State Resort.

Cancellation deadline is March 23, 2018.  Cancellations on or before March 23, 2018 will receive a full refund.  After that date, no refund will be provided. You may send a substitute in your place.

Scholarships
Limited funds are available for scholarships to first-time particpants. Scholarship applicants pay a $130 registration fee and need to complete the online registration and scholarship application form.  Scholarship application forms can be submitted via email to Rachel.Ladd@dnr.iowa.gov or by mail:

The $130 registration fee, online registration and scholarship application form must all be received in order to be considered for a scholarship award.  If you do not receive a scholarship and no longer wish to attend, a $130 refund will be issued.  All scholarship requests must be received by no later than March 5, 2018.  Scholarship applicants will be notified by no later than March 9, 2018 of their award status.  

Participants understand that photographs may be taken during the session and may be used in future promotional opportunties.

Registration
Important: Each participant will need to register individually. On the registration page, please make sure to choose one class for each session. This will ensure that you are registered for the classes you want. Each class will show how many remaining seats are available. Once a class has reached it's capacity, the class will be closed. 

When you go to add your payment, your registration should have one class picked for each session and look like this: 

Roommates
When you're filling out the registration page, please make sure to list any roommates that you'd like to stay with. Cabins will be filled with 3-5 individuals and hotel rooms with 1-2 individuals. Also, please let us know if you're a night owl or early bird as it will help when assigning rooms.
