Creating a Culture of Employee Engagement - NEFLIN (4/25/18)

Have you ever asked yourself, just how many of the employees in my organization (or business unit/team) are really engaged? If you believe it is about half of them, you may actually be overestimating the number.

According to a recent Gallup study regarding employee engagement, about 54 percent of employees in the United States self report that they are not engaged, with 17 percent saying they are actually disengaged. Only 29 percent of the employee research sample says they are engaged. As a result of this situation, a tremendous opportunity exists for managers and supervisors to positively influence the quality and quantity of work, as well as how work and organizations are perceived by employees in general.

Further, research has shown that improving employee engagement will also drive higher levels of organizational performance, stimulate creativity and innovation, reduce unwanted turnover and yield other important workforce and organizational benefits, including bottom line customer satisfaction. So, attend this course and learn how to specifically create and implement a culture of employee engagement.

Participants will learn:

  • What employee engagement actually means from the perspective of employee performance
  • Why employee engagement matters---what are measurable benefits
  • Specific strategies regarding how to improve employee engagement
  • Why employee engagement efforts fail
  • How to assess the level of employee engagement and also how to measure improvements in employee engagement
  • How to assist towards building a culture of employee engagement, and
  • How to create an action plan describing the deployment of employee engagement strategies
