Tour of Tazewell Woodford Head Start

**MUST PRE-REGISTER**

At 8:30am on Friday, meet us in the lobby and board a bus to take center tour of Tazewell Woodford's Head Start Family Center. The site is less than 5 minutes from the Embassy Suites. The building was purchased in 1998 by the grantee and with lots of community help, federal, state, and local funds has gradually been renovated to include a gym, kitchen, six 3-5 preschool classrooms, one toddler, and one infant classroom (currently being used as office space for an infant home visiting program), training room, WIC clinic, GED classroom with child care, and 2 rooms for office staff. The building is open to organizations that can be a resource to our families and the community, such as AA and NAA meeting and events, community fairs, book bag giveaways, and other organizations serving children and families. The Family Center has two Extended Duration Classroom with 15 children in each class and 3 double session classrooms with 15 in each session, totaling 120 children! We will be back to the hotel no later than 10:45 in perfect time for the Closing Lunch and Keynote!
