Unpacking Sexism with Black Women's Blueprint
Presenter: Farah Tanis, Black Women's Blueprint
Cost: $20
Free for members
Despite its prevalence in our workplaces, homes, and communities, institutional sexism remains an overlooked form of oppression. This workshop will help attendees develop a deeper understanding by attempting to demystify the dynamics and root causes of institutional sexism, in particular its impacts on marginalized communities.
Farah Tanis is the co-founder and executive director of Black Women’s Blueprint, a 2012 U.S. Human Rights Institute Fellow, and a Move to End Violence Movement Maker, working at the grassroots to address the spectrum of sexual violence against women and girls in Black/African American communities.
