This training is designed to increase the ability of communities to serve people with access and functional needs and their caregivers before, during and after disasters and emergencies.

Topics Covered:

• Awareness and sensitivity in working with people with disabilities and their families
• How the needs of people with disabilities differ during emergency preparedness and response
• Informing and assisting people with disabilities and their families on appropriately palnning for disasters and emergencies
• Coordinating community wide planning for disaster response and recovery
