Are you a person with a disability, caregiver, first responder, healthcare professional, or a staff member of an agency or organization serving people with access and functional needs?  This training is for YOU! This training is designed to increase the ability of communities to serve people with access and functional needs and their caregivers before, during and after disasters and emergencies.

Topics Covered:

  • Awareness and sensitivity in working with people with disabilities and their families
  • How the needs of people with disabilities differ during emergency preparedness and response
  • Informing and assisting people with disabilities and their families on appropriately palnning for disasters and emergencies
  • Coordinating community wide planning for disaster response and recovery
