TOPIC:  A Curious Case of Salivary Bioscience: A Very Sticky Story

Join OCDHS in Irvine for the last CE this spring. Professor Douglas Granger will  present salivary research linking biology, behavior, and health. Saliva is a powerful tool of discovery for both researchers and practitioners from traditionally non-biologically oriented fields. Learn how UCI’s new Institute for Interdisciplinary Salivary Bioscience Research is using saliva to better understand important issues such as stress, heart disease risk, animal wellness, infectious diseases and more. 

About The Speaker: Dr. Douglas A. Granger 

Dr. Granger is a psychoneuroendocrinology researcher who is well known for his development of methods related to saliva collection and analysis and the theoretical and statistical integration of salivary measures into developmental research.

At University of California, Irvine, he is Chancellor’s Professor in the Departments of Psychology and Social Behavior, Pediatrics, and Program in Public Health. He also holds Adjunct Faculty positions at Johns Hopkins University in the School of Nursing, School of Medicine, and Bloomberg School of Public Health.
