This lecture is designed for sports medicine physicians, athletic trainers and physical therapists to gain a better understanding of two very different but common issues and injuries that sideline many athletes. 

NJSIAA and Atlantic Sports Health will be bringing in guest speakers, Robert Monaco, MD & Carl Casimir, MD. 

Learning Objectives Include:

1. Identify skin infections that athletes commonly contract

2. Discuss the treatment options available for the common skin infections

3. Review return to sport guidelines for these infections and describe preventative strategies so that the infection doesn't spread or reoccur

4. Review the most common sports injuries

5. Discuss the pathology, risk factors and mechanisms related to common sports injuries

6. Describe approaches for treatment and prevention of common sports injuries
