Big Data for Small Business 

In this workshop, latest data capture and analyzing techniques will be introduced to illustrate the basic principles of big data application in the modern market. Artificial intelligence, developed to reveal and predict the interpretation of business metrics, has emerged as a promising business automation trend. After this introduction to Big Data, Lillian will introduce Infusionsoft and MailChimp, tools that you can use to boost your business.

Infusionsoft is an integrated platform specially designed for small businesses, available at a reasonable cost. MailChimp provides marketing automation and email marketing service for free for customers with less than 2,000 subscribers and 12,000 emails per month, which could be an advantageous start of your marketing automation effort.

Lillian (Ying) Li is a volunteering business mentor at Austin SCORE. She received her B.S from Tsinghua University and her M.S. from The University of Tulsa. She also received a Data Analytics-Big data Certificate from The University of Texas at Austin and a Fashion Industry Essentials Certificate from Parsons School of Design. Her professional background involves extensive data administration and operation process analytics to optimize operating efforts. She has worked in the oil and gas upstream sector as the liaison between corporate operating systems and IT sector, succeeding in quality control and project management.
