February TRYOUTS
for Lone Star Cup Team! 
Register by Wednesday, January 31st 

The 2018 Lone Star Cup will be held in Fort Worth at
Hawks Creek Golf Club. The annual match play competition
between the Texas, Baton Rouge and Greater Little Rock chapters will be played
Friday, April 13 and Saturday, April 14 with a welcome reception the evening of April 12th. This is a match play tournament consisting
of 12 team members from each chapter competing on Day One in either
alternate shot or four ball and Day Two singles play. 
 
Tryouts will be held during February to select the team members. All chapter members with an established handicap are eligible to compete. We encourage players of all skill levels to participate
in the tryouts. Players must play three matches and will earn 1 point for a win,
½ point for a tie and 0 for a loss. The top 10 will qualify then 2 captains’ pick
will be selected to complete the team. Team members will be expected to participate in practice matches, skills clinic and team meetings prior to the competition. Expenses involved will be the player package which includes golf, welcome dinner, Saturday awards dinner and Friday lunch on the course; team dinner Friday night; two team shirts and optional hotel. The host hotel is the Aloft in downtown Fort Worth, part of the Marriott group.
 
For our non-competitive members Fun Play available both days
of the competition and will be held at the same course. Spouses are also
welcome to join Fun Play.
