A "Taste" of Oak Park

Join GSC and IGS on Saturday, March 17 as we team up again for a fun Field Day, a tour of one of Chicago's western suburbs, Oak Park. Keith Yearman, Professor of Geography, College of DuPage, Glen Ellyn, IL will be our guide.

During the March Field Day we'll discover some of the treasures found in Oak Park beginning with a stroll around the Scoville Park where we will see a sign demarcating the local continental divide that separates the Great Lakes and Mississippi watersheds. We will also visit several prominent churches in the area including Grace Episcopal and First United Church of Oak Park.  We'll stop for lunch at Hemmingway's Bistro, walk through the Hemingway birthplace for a guided tour, then hop into our vehicles (carpooling encouraged) for a short trip to the Wright Home and Studio for another docent-guided tour.

Cost: $75 per person (lunch at Hemingway's Bistro included)
(suggested donation of $3 for each church visited)
