Cloud Computing: How to Bring Your Business into the 21st Century

Lance Spellman, president of Workflow Studios, a Dallas-based IT consultancy, would never be considered a geek. The former economics major fell in love with computers while in college in those pre-Internet days helping a small bankruptcy law firm file legal briefs electronically and never looked back.

Workflow Studios, which Lance started in 2000, provides technology services and products for clients all across the country – ranging from small business owners who operate their business in the cloud, to corporations and enterprise level companies which require specialized expertise in software development, cloud integration services or cutting-edge artificial intelligence.

The company serves businesses in such industries as aerospace, engineering, government, healthcare, insurance, manufacturing, oil and gas and retail, while providing hands-on services to small and mid-sized business as well.

Previously, Lance was Vice President Operations for Groupware Concepts in Dallas, where he provided IT consulting, architected solutions and managed infrastructure and development teams for such clients as Chase Bank, Coca-Cola Enterprises and GTE.

Before that, Lance was IT Manager for Cornerstone Health Management in Dallas, which managed skilled health care units in hospitals across the country. In that position, Lance was responsible for all IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networking, corporate and data reporting systems from the company’s 250 remote locations.

Lance pursued an MBA in Management Information Systems at the University of Dallas, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from UD.
